Working Titles
ADPr Ausdauerprüfung (Endurance Test title for dogs from 16 months to 6 years of age which includes a 20 kilometer run and simple obedience test)
BH Begleithund (Temperament Test title which is required before entry is permitted into Schutzhund or Tracking trial. The dog must perform several obedience exercises and show that he will be well mannered around people, other dogs, in traffic, and under heavy distractions)
BHP Brukshundsprov (equivalent to Schutzhund except testing is under Danish rules. Three levels [BHP 1, 2, 3] of difficulty are offered, with level 3 being the highest)
BIH Blindenhund (Guide Dog for the blind)
BpDH Bahnpolizeidiensthund (Railway Police Dog title. Two levels [BpDH 1, 2] of difficulty are offered, with level 2 being the highest)

The president of the Dobermann-Verein e.V. is also the president of the IDC)

ZTP Zuchttauglichkeitprüfung (Breed Suitability Test - the reason and purpose of the ZTP is to determine, in accordance with the Breed aims, the suitable Dobermann for breeding, and to exclude the unsuitable dog from breeding)
V Conformation rating of 'Vorzüglich' (Excellent)
SG Conformation rating of 'Sehr Gut' (Very Good - minimum requirement for males)
G Conformation rating of 'Gut' (Good - minimum requirement for females)
1A Character grading awarded to a dog who displays a secure and outstanding impression at rest as well as in the manwork
1B Character grading awarded to a dog whose overall behaviour is acceptable at rest and shows protective and fighting instinct
Zurückgestellt Deferred (a dog with doubts in regard to strength of character will be deferred. The dog may not be presented to any other judge for re-testing before a period of three months has expired. Should the dog not pass the second test then a further re-test is not possible and it will be classified as 'Not Fit for Breeding' for life)
Zuchtuntauglich Not Fit for Breeding (any aggressive, fearful or shy dogs are excluded from breeding)

Körung Test
Körung Breed Survey (an extensive test and evaluation of overall health, anatomical structure, character and working ability to identify the very best working Dobermanns for maintaining and improving the breed. The Körung, which is voluntary, is designed to be taken twice)
Erstkörung Rating awarded to a dog which has successfully completed all prerequisites and passed their first Körung test. The dog is deemed breedable for a period of two years (males are tested at 2 years of age while females can be tested between 2-3 years of age)
ZVA Rating awarded to a dog which has successfully passed the Körung twice and is deemed breedable "For Life" (the dog must pass their second Körung test within two years of passing their first Körung test otherwise they will need to start all over again)
auf Lebenszeit "For Life" (rating awarded to a dog which has successfully passed the Körung twice)
Angekört Title awarded to a dog which has successfully passed the Körung and is "recommended for breeding"
Körklasse Breed Survey Class
Körklasse 1 Conformation rating of 'Vorzüglich' (Excellent) and classified as "recommended for breeding"
Körklasse 2 Conformation rating of 'Sehr Gut' (Very Good) and classified as "suitable for breeding"
A Character grading awarded to a dog which makes both grips and has evaluated high under social behaviour and stability. The dog is classified as "recommended for breeding"
B Character grading awarded to a dog which comes off the sleeve in the courage test but immediately re-grips and has evaluated highly under social behaviour and stability. The dog is classified as "suitable for breeding"
Körbericht Judge comments during Körung test
Körkommission Körung Commission (consists of the Club's President, the Chief Breed Warden, and the Chief responsible for the working qualities of the Doberman. The decision of the Körkommission is final and an objection against the decision is not permissible)
